What is AΙ@Smile
AΙ@Smile employs a comprehensive approach involving the support of AI tools, the direct involvement and training of teachers, educators, and parents, as well as the incorporation of nature-based activities to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders.
What are we trying to achieve with AI@Smile?
AI@Smile aims to preserve teenager’s mental health and prevent suicidal ideation. AI@Smile will achieve this general objective through a triangle-comprehensive approach which foresees the support of AI tools as an ally to detect early signs of mental health deterioration, hands-on engagement and educational guidance of teachers, educators and parents and introducing activities based on nature to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression and other mental health disorders.
What is our priority:
The project directly focuses on this main objective: introducing and mainstreaming AI in education as a lever for supporting and accelerating the digital transformation with a main interest in detecting mental health detection of mental health deterioration and self-harm and suicidal intents
What you can find here:
The project will provide a set of innovative results on the relation of AI-mental health disorders in teenagers. This digital educational space based on AI will contain resources, learning materials, MOOCs, tutorial and work-based learning tools and a mobile application based on gaming and it will target teachers, educators, parents and the students themselves. Simultaneously the project aims to incorporate some green practices and green based activities such as hiking, gardening, even just spending time in nature or switching to a more sustainable lifestyle is an effective way to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders.
Health
AI@Smile places a strong emphasis on the mental well-being of teenagers, recognizing the importance of psychological health in their overall health and development.
Education
The project aims to disseminate knowledge about mental health issues and the role of AI in addressing them. This reflects a commitment to educating the public and relevant stakeholders.
Training
The project involves the direct training of teachers, educators, and parents. This training is crucial in building a support network that is well-informed and equipped to address teenagers’ mental health needs.
